Desperately seeking Enlightenment, or Sanity, or whatever it ought to be called. This is a pivotal crossroads in my life, and I need to find the answers to questions I have sought for nine years. Nine years ago I took refuge in Buddhism after a particularly negative experience that unquestionably changed my life forever; however, I have never been fortununate enough to be part of a Sangha or know other Buddhists (or Zennists or Taoists) to bounce questions and ideas off of. Most teachings I have read on this subject suggest that it is important to be in contact with others who practice. All things considered, I've been extremely fortunate in this life, but the ball is in my court to have the courage to take my existence to the next level. The sky is the limit, but I need to overcome conditioned obstacles such as fear and timidity--obstacles that most other people seem to easily defeat. I have absolutely no excuses not to realize my ultimate goals. Venues like this--the Lime community--and perhaps being able to interract with people who have similar visions of what it means to have this precious thing we call "Life" would probably be a positive motivating force. Incidentally, Lime ROCKS. Thanks to Lime for offering us this opportunity to meet others with similar values and interests. I do think there is untapped potential here at Lime, and I wish there was more opportunity to participate at the community level--specifically, for users to interact with other users and offer corporate feedback. Hopefully, this place can grow. It is essential that it does. Were Lime a stock on the NYSE I would probably invest in it, because (to be optimistic) civilization must eventually embrace the ethics and principles epitomized by LIME and this community of outstanding individuals it attracts. There is a potential rainbow here at Lime. The collective global consciousness depends on human beings embracing the concepts and ideas emphasized here; and, it is vitally wonderful to discover this glimmer of hope in this Age of Darkness. |
