From Episode 5: "Herbs & Spices"
The delicate aroma of lavender flowers blossoms in the arms of this bright raspberry lemonade. Dried lavender flowers are often sold in the dries herb section of natural food stores or for the bath. Be sure to look for organic lavender. Thawed organic frozen raspberries may be used in lieu of fresh raspberries if not available. This makes a fantastic raspberry lemonade on its own, even without the lavender.
Ingredients
Procedure
Steep lavender flowers in hot water for 3-5 minutes. Strain. Do no steep longer or it will turn bitter.
Mix in maple syrup, agave or honey, and vanilla. Set in the fridge to chill.
In a blender, blend raspberries, filtered water, lemon juice and a pinch of sea salt.
Pour through a fine mesh strainer or sieve. Press with the back of a large spoon to extract as much liquid as possible.
Mix cooled, sweetened tea and raspberry-lemon mixture together. Add a bit more sweetness if desired.
