This week home and style guru Martha Stewart is doing a "Going Green" series on her show. Wednesday she hosted Treehugger's Simran Sethi on a segment about flooring options. If jailbird Stewart seemed nervous, it probably wasn't that she was uncomfortable with sustainability; she also had Mr. T, a former military policeman, on the show that day.
Ted Danson, Pierce Brosnan, Tom Hanks, and others have taken an active role in fighting for the air and water quality in their Malibu community. However, according to an ongoing investigation, residents of the town such as those stars could be responsible for fecal contamination of surrounding waters via leaky septic systems. Analysists say that this may be the first time that the crap the entertainment industry produces actually poses a serious health risk.
Our friends at Ecorazzi have discovered that Gwyneth Paltrow, noted yoga practitioner, is a tremendous fan of Earth Mama Angel Baby's eco-friendly organic stretch oil, which she presumably used while she was carrying her baby daughter Apple. Despite her love of the planet, Paltrow has not specified whether her daughter's name refers to an organic or conventionally-grown piece of fruit.
Barbara Streisand is embarking on a tour that will raise money for a variety of charities, including one million dollars for Bill Clinton's Climate Change Initiative. Rumor has it that Streisand has also offered to shield melting polar ice caps from the sun with the shadow of her ego.
Interests: Horseback riding, watching the silence of the snow, obviously anything creative, cooking
Inspiration: Like most of you, when I heard of recycling to save the earth, I naturally assumed I needed to separate my plastics, newspapers and glass. I was helping. That was all I needed to do. Then one day, I was searching around for something fun, some art, and I came across this abstract piece. It was gorgeous - it looked like a naturally formed wave of icy white water bursting into the air. When I looked closer at it, I saw that it was made from recycled plastic caps. I was in shock. What kind of imagination and talent does that take to look at a plastic cap and see more to it then what it actually is? How can someone be so ingenious that they can take something that we normally throw away and create such a piece of beauty with it? This is the thought process that I could not stop pondering and it took over my mind, body and soul and soon enough became my muse.
I began Earth's Journey for this reason. I wanted to show the world that there was more to saving the earth than just recycling. There is beauty in things we can't even imagine, and so many ways to help our planet flourish. There are products out there that we all could use to completely decorate, furnish and run a home... all environmentally safe. You can buy organic bedding, non-toxic cleaning detergents, solar power, or make a change in a small way by using energy-efficient light bulbs. But the best part of recycling and being eco-friendly is the beauty that you'll find here, with all of our different artisans. As you can see I'm very passionate about this type of artistic creativity, and I hope you will be too.
I invite you to sit back, relax and ... Be Inspired by Green!
Great use for an huge ego! Here's to hoping it only gets bigger (and she keeps doing the good work)!
If you're trying to pretend your time is important enough to waste--you fail.
How sad. For you. Please get therapy, or even surgery to locate your sense of humor.

I met Mr. T three years ago at a popular apple orchard in upstate NY. Where, for whatever reason, he was holding a press junket and signing autographs.
And she is building those ugly Martha developmenst with KB Homes..boring, ugly, subdivisions of one home after another... plowing thorugh farmland to make more ugly homes...
Wake up people..Martha is not green...
Good for Martha Stewart - she cares for the environment and makes her corner of the world pretty - and helps others do the same (even if we don't have the paid help she has). Your newsletter makes me laugh out loud. Keep up the good work!
I was sure turned off by your name calling of Martha as a jailbird.
yikes. merciless and mean.
