Goveg.com, an offshoot organization of PETA, has announced the results of its "World’s Sexiest Vegetarian" poll. "Celebrities cite many reasons for [vegetarianism], from avoiding the cruelty that is inherent in all meat production to improving their health and energy levels and helping the environment," Go Veg said, and declared Prince (the artist formerly known as "The Artist Formerly Known as Prince") the sexiest male vegetarian and Kristen Bell the sexiest female vegetarian. Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway, and Joaquin Phoenix were among the runners up. No word on whether any of them were upset enough by the results to jump camp and compete for the title of "World’s Sexiest Bratwurst-Lover."
The biggest conversation piece in my tiny New York studio apartment has nothing to do with kitsch or art or my lovely touch with the decorating. It’s my trampoline. It may be black, large, and ugly, hogging a huge percentage of pricey Manhattan real estate, but people immediately start bouncing. And smiling.
It’s no surprise then that mini-tramping (as I call it) or rebounding (as the professionals call it) is on the rise. In addition to being fun, it’s also great exercise. It does all the heart-raising, sweat-inducing things that regular working out does, but it also is said to pump your lymphatic system, making it a favorite among the holistic-minded looking to flush extra toxins.
