You may have seen their cool square cards in gift shops. The ones with the quotes that often turn a little key somewhere deep inside you to a door that says Yes! as it creaks open. Now their 2006 calendar is out for monthly year-long reminders––of both your appointments and pulsing human spirit. For example, October offers a Zen saying, “Leap and the net will appear,” and July, a quote from Abraham Lincoln. There’s a version in polyannic Technicolor and a black and white style for those who like their optimism unadorned. If you’ve gotten the latter and your year is flagging despite all this erudite cheerleading, Robert Browning promises on December: “The best is yet to be!”
