Hosted by Danny Seo, this segment explain how to clean a garbage disposal in an eco-friendly way.
Garbage disposals start to smell when food waste builds up inside of them. If ice and lemons don't get rid of your odor, use a cleaning brush or rag to scrape the rubber flaps inside the disposal. Getting rid of any remaining residue should do the trick. Also, make sure you leave your water running whenever you run the disposal—this helps wash food particles away. Other options if you don't have any lemons handy: try vinegar or baking soda.
