Just wondering what everyone is doing for Earth Day. Every year, it's the same old, same old. Go to the local Earth Day fest and get home and wonder why it shouldn't be named "junkfest"

It's just another reason for people to go to something and collect a lot of junk they'll throw away. 

 So I want to do something different this year. I'm pretty eco-conscious as it goes -- I recycle; I compost [0]; I turn off the lights when I can. I was thinking of trying to use no electricity on earth day (no computer, no TV, no microwave) etc., but I don't know.

 Anyone have any original ideas to take an extra step?

 And how I can get other people to get involved far beyond the Earth Day festival?
