Chewing is the solution to war, disease and poverty! Chewing will make your children and your dog love you more! Chewing will make you irresistable to the opposite sex. It's all about the chew. Go figure.

I believe in chewing throughly

Because I don't want large food particles inside, to support the flow of food and waste through the body. Because I want the food mixed well with siliva for better digestion. I also do not drink any liquids while eatting, and not until ~1 hour after eatting. When eatting with coworkers, I am always the last one done eatting, which does not bother me. I clean the teeth as soon as practical after eatting.

I also don't drink when I'm eating. Never gave it much thought except didn't want to fill up before I was full...It's also important to drink your beverage (preferable water) at room temperature. That also aides is the digestion of your food.

How about chewing gum?

I also believe in chewing your food thoroughly. I'm always the last person finished, but it's not always because I chew my food well. Sometimes it's because I enjoy talking and socializing with others at a meal. I wonder if chewing gum would have the same positive effect on the body as chewing food? I prefer the sugar-free kind. What do you think? Susie

Chewing is Chewing, but maybe since nothing is going into the stomach it might be a little different? I too love to socialize while dining so that always make me the last one to finish eating. However, I chew my food slowly for several reasons...don't want to choke, love to taste my food, it's ladylike, and I've always been a slow eater.

As Bruce Lee said when he asked a person why they chew there food so many times on each side of the mouth the man said so his food would digest well, Bruce replyed how do you know that someone wouldn't starve to death while trying to eat a meal.
