Are these a homemade recipe you made up or did you get it from somewhere.  I have NEVER heard of these and would not have even given this combo a thought.  Though if you make them with dark chocolate, they are full of nutritional value.

My question is whoever thought of dipping bell peppers in chocolate in the first place? I can actually imagine a red or orange bell pepper dipped in chocolate but green bell peppers, I don't think so.

Anxious to hear where this recipe came from......

It's a KIND of pepper

Sorry....but this is not a recipe for chocolate-dipped peppers!  A "Chocolate Sweet Bell Pepper" is a particular kind of bell pepper. Some peppers are red, some orange, some yellow, some purple...these are a rich brown with green stems. They're simply sweet, delicious bell peppers named for their skin color.

WOW-we were all off base.  No, I have never ever heard of these.  Where did you see them and where did you get them?  I go to farmers markets, shop at WHole Foods and other natural stores and have never come across them.  I would love to give them a try.

I have heard of these peppers, but couldn't imagine they'd taste any good. What dishes or recipes could you use them in?

I use chocolate bell peppers in stir fry, philly steak onion and bell fry, salads, with veggie dips,or just eat them raw they have a sweet taste that is pleasing to the pallet.  I have used the seeds and am now growing  15 plants.  I have only found them once at the flea market here in Florida at the beginning of the summer. They are delicious so if you can find them definitely buy a few.
