I feel much better now!  I have tried pilates several times and after each time my lower back always hurt me.  The instructors kept telling me my "core" was not strong enough and that my back would improve as my core got stronger.  I untimately did listen to my body and stopped.  Each person has to make the call themselves and not do things because it is the "in " thing to do.
