Global Green's 5th Annual Pre-Oscar Party

Did you tune in to the Oscars last night? LIME got into the Oscar spirit by attending Global Green’s Pre-Oscar party last Wednesday night at the Avalon nightclub in Hollywood. The 5th annual event, which was decked out in cutting edge green home products and design, raised $420,000 to benefit Global Green’s climate change initiatives, including the green rebuilding of New Orleans
LIME got to hobnob with some fabulous green celebs, such as hot new mama Salma Hayek, legendary director Oliver Stone and star of HBO’s hit show Entourage (and our future boyfriend) Adrian Grenier. Funnyman Bill Maher, whom we got to rub elbows with in the VIP lounge, emceed the show. The cocktails by Cuca Fresca—a green spirit from Brazil—were delish, and the performances by Michael Franti, Michelle Branch, Damien Rice and the Oscar-nominated stars of Once, Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, rocked our organic cotton socks off. It was inspiring to see so many celebs and civilians alike come out to support this revolutionary environmental organization.

It's great to hear that the Global Green party is getting so much bigger each year. When I heard John Stewart mention it was the "green" oscars, I had to smile. Even though he was sorta making fun of it... I was still psyched. In case you missed it, here's his joke:
“This is the environmentally-conscious green Oscars... So tonight our presenters will be walking all the way to the microphones.”
