Jimmy Kimmel Rides the Bus
Posted by Joshua W. Jackson on April 27, 2007 - 6:18am.

Television has finally come around to mass transit! Comedian Jimmy Kimmel has decided to broadcast a very special episode of his late night talk show from a public bus in Los Angeles. The bus will pick up guests along the way that may include Cameron Diaz, Geoffrey Rush, Sarah Silverman, and Carmen Electra. It's said that producers of the show won't even need to make arrangements with the L.A. transit authority because most of the busses in L.A. are empty anyway.

Biodiesel farmer and American music icon Willie Nelson will not be going to jail after his arrest for possesion of marijuana and hallucinogenic mushrooms. Apparently, the judge was so happy to reposses Willie's stash that Nelson got away with a fine for $1,024.00. No word on whether the substances in question were organic or factory farmed.

Rock star Sheryl Crow and environmental hero Laurie David squared off against Bush administration puppetmaster Karl Rove last Saturday. David and Crow approached the surly politico to discuss the possibility of Rove reconsidering the importance of global warming, but the pair were greeted with a nasty growl. Crow apparently retorted, "You can't talk to us like that, you work for us," to which Rove replied, "I work for the American people!" Crow and David then reminded Rove that they are, in fact American people. Their citizenship, of course, was immediately and mysteriously revoked following the encounter.

On Earth Day while millions around the nation rallied to reduce their carbon footprint, a humoungous Hummer was photographed in the executive parking lot of Fox studios. The monstrocity featured a license plate that read, "7 MPG." While many struggled to unveil the identity of the Mystery Eco-Villain, others believe that the undeniable evil and offensive smugness could only have come from one source.

The Second Annual Santa Monica Classic has been scheduled as a fundraiser for the outstanding environmental non-profit group Heal the Bay. Last year's race was attended by board member and extremely talented actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus. It remains unclear whether the former Seinfeld costar was running to raise awareness for her cause or to escape from Elaine.

Interests: Horseback riding, watching the silence of the snow, obviously anything creative, cooking
Inspiration: Like most of you, when I heard of recycling to save the earth, I naturally assumed I needed to separate my plastics, newspapers and glass. I was helping. That was all I needed to do. Then one day, I was searching around for something fun, some art, and I came across this abstract piece. It was gorgeous - it looked like a naturally formed wave of icy white water bursting into the air. When I looked closer at it, I saw that it was made from recycled plastic caps. I was in shock. What kind of imagination and talent does that take to look at a plastic cap and see more to it then what it actually is? How can someone be so ingenious that they can take something that we normally throw away and create such a piece of beauty with it? This is the thought process that I could not stop pondering and it took over my mind, body and soul and soon enough became my muse. I began Earth's Journey for this reason. I wanted to show the world that there was more to saving the earth than just recycling. There is beauty in things we can't even imagine, and so many ways to help our planet flourish. There are products out there that we all could use to completely decorate, furnish and run a home... all environmentally safe. You can buy organic bedding, non-toxic cleaning detergents, solar power, or make a change in a small way by using energy-efficient light bulbs. But the best part of recycling and being eco-friendly is the beauty that you'll find here, with all of our different artisans. As you can see I'm very passionate about this type of artistic creativity, and I hope you will be too. I invite you to sit back, relax and ... Be Inspired by Green!
