People talk about spring cleaning, but it’s the hibernation of winter that makes me really notice my clutter. If you’re thinking you’d like to clear your home (a.k.a. make room inside yourself for new opportunities, growth, and clarity), here are some resources:

Anti clutter books: About.com has a long list of clutter-clearing books, most with an emphasis on the mind-clutter connection. They include: The Zen of Organizing by LIME radio host Regina Leeds; Spiritual Housecleaning: Healing the Space Within by Beautifying the Space Around You by Kathryn L. Robyn, and A.W. Ku’s The Tao of Cleaning.

FlyLady.net: A detailed, friendly resource for everyone suffering from CHAOS (Can’t Have Anyone Over Syndrome). The Fly Lady has a 31-day “baby-steps” program to organize from the inside out that starts with “go shine your sink” and ends with “check your calendar for next month’s events.”

The aptly named Mind Over Clutter website has articles on dumping brain clutter and clearing our fear––along with those clothes you’re never (never) going to wear. This site defines clutter by these four characteristics: things you do not use or love, things that are untidy or disorganized, too many things in too small a place, and anything unfinished.

And finally, for inspiration, the beloved ApartmentTherapy blog. Brimming with online resources for just about anything (once you toss, consume smartly), the blog’s owner, Maxwell Gillingham-Ryan, has a book coming out next month, Apartment Therapy: The Eight-Step Home Cure. The site is also in the midst of its second annual smallest, coolest apartment contest.

I heard a commercial you made on Lime.com about a CD you leave playing for your animals. I did not hear what kind. I am very interested as I have a mix breed puppy that I would love to calm down. What is it again? Glenda Simpson

The CD was given to me when I had surgery. I played it in my hospital room and the nurses all said 'it sounds like Heaven in here!' The CD says: a j a d Reiki Music Vol. 3 copyright 1994 High Tide Set If you start googling I am sure you will find the CD...or just google Reiki and find a practitioner near you. I am sure they carry the CD's. Blessings....your animals will love it! Regina Leeds The Zen Organizer
